I’ve broken many cycles in my life… Generational ones, carrying the weight of what was never spoken, and choosing to face what others before me couldn’t. Relationship ones, the kind built in chaos, confused with abandonment, instability, infidelity, silence, survival… Where love meant walking on eggshells, caring for someone battling mental health and addiction, and very quickly losing pieces of myself in the process. And then the ones within me, patterns, habits, and reactions I didn’t even realise weren’t mine… until I started unlearning them. One by one. And just when I thought I’d gone as deep as I could, I met grief. Raw, disorienting, soul-cracking grief. That brought me to my knees and completely cracked me wide open. But strangely, it made space. Space for clarity. For softness. For truth. It changed me entirely. It taught me how precious this life is. How sacred connection is. And it reminded me of who/what ‘WE’ really are. Now? I’ve been gifted something rare. I’m not just healing, but learning how to feel safe in love. Not just identifying the patterns, but finally choosing new ones, in real time, with someone who meets me there. After years of unlearning survival modes, I’m learning how to be held in peace. To soften into love that doesn’t confuse me. To speak openly without fear of shutdown or judgement. To fully give and receive affection freely, without second-guessing it. It’s no longer just about facing pain, day in, day out. It’s about learning how to be in a healthy, mature relationship. One where safety is co-created, communication is welcomed, and affection is easy. My body used to brace for chaos but now its healthier, happier and more understood than ever before. This is what breaking the cycle for me looks like. Not perfect, just present. Not guarded, just growing. And this time, not alone. 💫 ♥️ #break#breakthecycle #Lovel#TrueLoveu#nurturede#appreciationitude@jeremy_cross
