5 years ago I did a biological age test and I was 2 years younger…biologically. Math wizzes out there I was 30, biologically 28.  Now I am about to be 35 and over 10 years younger biologically.  Keep in mind. I sleep in a different bed practically weekly. Work odd hours, run a business, exposed to harmful radiation in our upper atmosphere at work, find myself sitting sometimes 8 plus hours a day, and living off of take out.  Sounds like health risk after health risk? Well it is. Many of my peers look ten years older than they actually are. Why is that? They do nothing meaningful to address the hazards of our job as airline pilots.  I hear you now: “well Scott that’s cool I don’t have time to workout out.” Neither do I. That’s the point. Even if you do. Working only isn’t going to push your age back 10 years…it’s what you do outside of the gym. Here’s some of the anti aging habits and actions me and my clients do DAILY not only to look younger- but biologically BE younger. 1. Walk 10k steps a day. Time? 1 hour tops scattered throughout the day. You got time for Netflix? You got time to walk.  2. Eat primarily plant based diet. When I travel this gets tough- there are times I am relegated to eggs and cheese to find protein in places like Laughlin Nevada- a food desert, literally. But less meat has been a good thing for me (notice how I still built muscle 😆) 3. Drink water. I rarely have flavored drinks. I do love a good aspartame Diet Coke when I fly or a a nice IPA 🍺 for a special occasion. But for the most part, I don’t drink full sugar sodas (shoutout to @poppi shop ) 4. When I do have time- my focus is resistance training. My body feels better from an aches and pains standpoint but biologically it is younger because it gets LOTS of practice repairing tissues. Makes sense right?  5. Sleep is a priority for me. I just got an essentia mattress and freaking love it. Was it expensive- of course. We spend up to 1/3 of our life asleep. I want to get the best possible sleep I can when I am home.  With that said- the people who say “I can sleep when I am dead” usually are. ☠️😵
