i lower the opacity of the brush and use the colour picker for every other stroke,, it takes a while but it gives it a bit of texture too

usually i have low opacity and i use a water colour brush i adjusted my brush so that it would blend more easily too

I use the smudge tool but i never use the default brush I’m using procreate and got a noise brush from a set i downloaded it works really well

1.you can either make or download a blending brush that works the best for you 2.you can use a soft airbrush and blend while color picking

For procreate use smudge and soft airbrush max opacity, but make sure that the brush size is bigger than your lineart but not too big.

the brush itself is probably a soft edge you can use the smudge with an airbrush airbrushes are your friend
