Something you could look up to help you is how to do marching band color guard spins. It helps a lot with figuring put how your wrist can move.

Try to look up a “backscratcher” with a Sabre because that is very similar to a move in color guard! That might help a bit

So I did colorguard for six years and it MAY help if you let go of your bottom two fingers and loosen up your grip. It’ll make it less rigid.
