An opportunity presents itself when Zoe comes into contact with an old flame, Zach, who is now a rising Hollywood star and their romance rekindles. The words start flowing effortlessly however at a cost. The tabloid picks up some intimate photographs of the two lending a full spotlight on Zoe, who now must defend herself from bad press and also a stalker on her prowl. Zoe soon discovers that Zach is also hiding a thing or two and the only way out would mean no inspiration for a second book. This was a great thriller depicting the struggles of the almost unachievable Hollywood dream and how you gotta โ€œget rich or die trying.โ€ And speaking of deaths, there were enough body counts to keep me turning the pages but that twisted ending had my jaw on the floor. *A moment of silence for that ending* #ifykyk That ending solidified my five stars because the dark-hearted reader in me could see how the author took a bold step with that one. I tandem read the book with the audiobook and Billie was the perfect cast as Zoe.
