When you "close" on a house, it means you own it now. House should have BEEN empty, keys are handed to you and you own the property once closed.🙊

What some of you don’t understand is there’s 2 types of closing- 1. Get possession at time of closing (meaning the house is theirs once it’s signed)

My sister just closed on her house 2 weeks ago- she did a walk through 2 hours before signing and literally it was hers to move into after that.

In the US, when you close on a house, you get the keys. The previous owners should be out by closing unless previously discussed.
