It’s not pee. It’s chloramines. It’s the byproduct of chlorine oxidizing the pee. The pee is gone.

Well to be fair it’s not just pee that you smell in a pool. It’s the chlorine reacting with sweat, bacteria, hair, dirt, and other things.
