Unfortunately not every rescue story ends happily. This was one of them. 💔 We got a call about this little one this week. He was found from the streets by kids in terrible condition. Possibly hit by a car, one of his legs was completely broken. Hanging in there, mostly held together by the skin. Poor baby in what kind of pain he had to be. 😭 And still he was the kindest little being we have met for a while. 🥺 We rushed him at the vet and remained waiting for the news how the surgery went. Hoping for the best, but being afraid that the leg needs to be amputated. But the news we got were way worse than that. He never made it out alive from the surgery. The little one lost his life before it even properly started. 💔 It’s hard to swallow that this happened, but the reality is what it is. We are heartbroken and so so sorry for him. No dog should go through this. 😢 Even more sad is to know that he was a drop in the ocean. This country is full of homeless and injured puppies. Most of them never get help and die alone by the side of the roads. Compared to them, this boy was almost lucky, at least he had hope for a while. He didn’t die alone in pain without no one caring. Sterilising is the only way to stop this from happening. Massive sterilisation campaigns are needed to stop the suffering. No puppy should born and die homeless. The preventive work is the only ethical way to fix this. The only way to have less sad stories like this. And that’s why we are sharing his story. Not to make you sad, but to get attention to the enormous dog overpopulation problem in Romania. To have people starting to think more and more about sterilisation. Everyone who cares should know about the importance of spaying in helping homeless dogs in Romania. Run free little one. Sorry we couldn’t do more. You were loved and you mattered. ❤️
