It’s so interesting that deaf parents give birth to hearing kids. My asl teacher told me it may even be up to 98% now

this is not talked about enough!! my MIL is deaf and her family is hearing. as a child and made to take vocal and lip reading classes to be more norm

They told my grandmother’s mom to not bother learning ASL because it was a “phase she would grow out of.” 1944 infection took her hearing.
