Love this! I think it’s also exceptionally risky to adopt a Mal, unless you’re an experienced owner willing to take on the risk.

I volunteered for the humane society here and they never bought dogs from auction or anything like that. Not saying it doesn't happen anywhere else

Thank you. Another point is that rescues/puppy mill pups have health issues that will land them in a shelter or cost the owner thousands of dollars.

My dog was in a shelter for 2 months and was returned twice before I got her. She’s a rescue. I don’t understand “rescues” that only have 1 breed.

I say adopt don’t shop to throw shade at people who go to unethical breeders or places where they weren’t even allowed to see the living conditions...

I can't speak for all rescues, but some are legit. The one I work with, we take a lot of abandoned pups, dogs ditched on backwoods roads, injured dogs

I have 2 rescued Malinois from a reputable rescue. I am a big fan of rescues, but see your point. To each there own, but there plenty of good rescues

Don’t forget about the imported dogs as well that end up in rescues. Ethical and preservation breeding produces healthy, stable, predictable dogs 👍
