Recipe: Horseshoe Biscuits Make 24 Prep time: 15 minutes Bake time: 18 minutes Ingredients 125g salted butter 35g icing sugar 1tsp Almond extract 30g pecan nuts 160g Golden Cloud cake flour 1tsp baking powder 2Tbsp maizena 1Tbsp Oil Caster sugar for coating Method 1. Preheat your oven to 160^C 2. Line a large baking tray with a baking paper or a baking mat. 3. Beat your icing sugar and butter together for 3-4 minutes until pale and fluffy. 4. Add in the almond essence and beat well. 5. Ground your pecans, using a hand blender. Alternatively, place them in a place bag and using a rolling, give it a good smashing! 6. Add in the ground pecans and mix well. 7. Sift in the flour, baking powder and maizena. 8. Add in the oil and mix until the dough comes together. 9. Break of little balls, you can use a measuring tablespoon as a guide for the ball size. 10. Using your palms roll the ball into a snake that’s 5-6cm in length 11. Bend the snake into the horseshoe shape and place onto your baking sheet. 12. Bake for 18 minutes. 13. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. 14.
