I’ve never made it with cheese before. We do mix some of the onions in with the beans and then layer the rest on top. I also use French style beans.

I use cream of chicken instead of mushroom due to an allergy and it turns out fantastic too!

Wanna turn it up a notch? Use cream of chicken soup, put 1/2 cup onions in with soup and beans.🥰

FYI: never added cheese but it looks great. Try adding some of the onions inside the mixture then the ones On the top. I think it gives a little extra
