It’s not an either or situation. We often take in sick or abandoned animals that become our pets. We also raise healthy, happy grass fed local beef.

As an aspiring farmer...why would it be a bad thing to raise our own livestock for meat? My animals live good, healthy, happy lives, no matter what.

Also there are many sanctuaries that may have a good intent but are actually very poor environment for the animals. Not all sanctuaries are good.
