There is a sander that has a teardrop/triangle on it that can squish into the grooves. Not as good as by hand but gets the bulk of it done

Use an 18v Battery drill and you can buy attachments that fit onto them with different shapes sanding heads for awkward spots, get them cheap on amazo

Sanding sponges are the best way w/out accidentally sanding down the edges too much, small rotary tools or drill attachments are good too!
