(Comparing with Others or Fantasies) A very common mistake is comparing your spouse with what friends, movies, or fantasies have described. Every person is unique and every marriage has its own beauty. Do not expect your husband or wife to behave like stories you've heard accept and love them as they are. 7. (Not Thanking Allah) Many people get lost in enjoyment and forget that marriage is a blessing from Allah. The first night is the time to thank Allah for granting a life partner. A short dua, a prayer of gratitude, or even praying two rak'ah together can fill the home with barakah. 8. (Forgetting Emotional Bonding) Some couples only focus on physical intimacy, but forget to build emotional closeness. A simple conversation, holding hands, or sharing dreams about the future can make the night memorable and meaningful. Without emotional bonding, intimacy feels empty. 9.
