I haven’t tried the gold bond one I usually use boil ease. Also tiger balm or a type of drawing salve to help bring it to a head for it to drain

Also try vinegar!! If it’s not open it’ll help bring it to a head also! That’s if you can deal with the smell lol

I use Vick’s as long as the skin isn’t broken or too raw, can’t use tea tree oil it burns can’t use peroxide cause my skin reacts to it. daily battle.
