Took me a while to realize that these are things that I really don’t see much in fantasy books these days. I feel like most Fantasy books right now, copy each other in a way. Such as Mortally Grey shadow daddies, dragons, enemies to lovers, and smut. I’m not saying that all of those are bad. But we need originality. And it gets annoying when it feels like you’re reading the same basic tropes in like every fantasy book. There are just some tropes that are too overused. And there’s so much more, new things that we can bring to the fantasy genre that most authors ignore. Because they care about what’s selling well in the industry instead of using their creative minds and writing a story that they actually want. So if anyone reads this, and is currently writing a fantasy book, think about what you want to put in your story, don’t search for what’s popular on booktok. Because in the end your work will be praised for your creativity not a “copy and paste”. And all the things that I put in the slideshow are things that I actually wish to see more in future fantasy books, so feel free to use these ideas! (Only if you want). #fantasybooks #BookTok #writertok #booktokfyp #fantasybooktok
