Pov you had a bad nights sleep & you’ve woken up feeling anxious & exhausted No gatekeeping! This is the secret to snapping out of a low mood & setting you up to have a great day! There’s nothing worse than starting your week off with a broken nights sleep & feeling exhausted & anxious before the week has even begun. This was literally me today! Last night I barely slept & woke up feeling so anxious & the negative thoughts started to spiral. “I’m so tired”, “great start to the week 🤦🏽‍♀️”, “so it’s going to be 1 of those days 🙄” In the past when I woke up like this I would get to work in a bad mood, rush through work & leave as soon as possible. Would skip training, skip all of the tasks I was planning on doing. Sometimes cancel all together just so I could sleep. And then end up feeling guilty for not achieving anything. I eventually realised I didn’t need to Drop all of my responsibilities just because I’m tired. Just because I’m not my high energy self doesn’t mean I’m not capable of achieving anything. This is the exact practice I “created” Over the years which eggectively snaps you out of a low mood & turn it around on those days when you’re anxious & tired 👇🏽 1. Bring awareness to your emotoons - voice how you’re feeling to a friend or at least write it down 2. Prioritise mindfulness (aim for 20min) - I find meditation works best for me but whatever you use to ground yourself will work. The more grounded you can become the less in your head you will be. It will also increase your energy levels 3. Appreciation - focus on 3 things you’re truly grateful for. Write it down, visualise it & most importantly feel the appreciation in your heart 4. Move your body - do something chill like walk or if you feel up for it train. Do something to change your energy #anxiety #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #mindset #gratitude #wellbeing
