I have an NDE minor from college and it’s great seeing this stuff in real life application. This and dye penetrant are similar.

magnaflux is a pruduct. not a process. you are using mag particle inspection using iron dust in a squeez duster with a ac yoke producing magnitism.

Sometimes it’s just casting flaws. You need to blend the area and see if the crack is still there.
