I think the intro to the original Thundercats was pretty badass. It's too bad the animation quality wasn't the same for the show itself.

I got in the best shape of my life while working 60 hour weeks as a construction project engineer. And I’m here to share exactly what I did, and the trials and errors that I’ve been through. If I can do it, so you can. If you’re in a situation where you’re working long weeks, lots of hours, and you feel like your health is slipping, remember these things: Prioritize Recovery Sleep! You probably aren’t getting enough of it. The best you can do is the best you can do. Stay off your phone right before bed. Take a magnesium supplement at night. Don’t stay out too late on the weekends. Don’t waste time in the evenings. Make sleep a priority and watch it change your entire life. Consistency is Key Most people try to do too much and they end up falling into cycles of inactivity. They go hard for a month, and then burn themselves out and become sedentary again. Most often, doing less (but more consistently) actually gets you further in the long run. Don’t try to be a hero. Stick to a plan that is simple, repeatable, and that you can be consistent with. Flexibility in Routine Working in construction, your routine is going to have to change frequently. Concrete pours happen, you have to stay at work late on day, a big bid is due, etc. You need to come up with a plan B and plan C for when things don’t go as planned. What do you do when you have to work late? What do you do when you have a 1am concrete pour? How are you going to prioritize recovery, but also get your workout in? Think of all the barriers that prevent you from achieving your goals, and eliminate them. Accountability Find a workout partner. Go to a workout class. Hire a coach. Develop community that supports and encourages you, and also holds you accountable (but you still need to hold yourself accountable). Joining a community is a great way to improve consistency in the gym and promote healthy habits. Interested in improving your own health and fitness while working in the construction industry? DM me “construction” and we’ll see how I can help you reach your unique goals. #constructionandfitness #constructionhealth #healthjourneytips #busyprofessionalfitness #bluecollarfitness
