Do foundation issues ever show on a first floor only? Saw a house today with a large horizontal crack in the plaster wall. House was built in 1930.

For the water the drain tile could be crushed or put in upside down,your soil level outside up against the house could be above the waterproof line...

We have to have 2% slope away from the home or it will not pass inspection,is it the same there?

I bought a house 8 years ago with cracks and stair stepped cracks in the basement wall. We had two inspectors and both said nothing about them. 😳
