I dye A LOT of lesther items. And every so often the leather doesnt want to absorb the leather dye. The forst tome this happened I was nearly in tears, dyeing a customers. Heels and one small part didnt take the dye. And then it occurred to me, what about adding a difference color? Purple leather dye is so Versatile and so beautiful that I combined it with the jet black dye. And you can see the type of results that can make. This bag was sent to me with a matching wallet and when that wallet would not dye correctly I knew this would make for an excellent example. Not all leathers are made the same, and bot all bags have the same history either. There can be multiple reasons a bag will not take leather dye ranging from if its been cleaned with the wrong agents, to issues with glue at the sole, and finally issues with the leather. In fact you can see that a similar bag with the same leather and from the same company did well with this black leather dye that I use from @Angelus Brand . This has happened several tomes with different brands and different leathers, and different lesther colors, but blending a similar dye has always seemed to help. For now its still a work in progress but what a difference can be made from mixing some dyes. #leatherdye #patentleather #patentleatherbag #leatherrestoration #fyp
