Bookstore worker here, while yes throwing away books seems rough sometimes theres flat out no other option. Shelf space is finite for both bookstores,

Maybe a helpful thing idk but those paper back books are good just to sell for $.10 at your GS have a bin of them.

also a bookstore worker, we donate everything we can but many nobody will read or you literally can't read because it's so damaged, we dispose of (1)
