These are allegations, but for it to be made in US Congress and for many Nigerian journalists and politicians to have said the same gives the story much credibility. I would also like to add that it is very likely that people within the Nigerian government itself were embezzling these USAid funds to fund Boko Haram rather than it being a direct scheme, but at the end of the day it is very clear that America has played a part in destabilising Nigeria and that is because Nigeria’s and Africa’s development in general is antagonistic to US interests but that’s a discussion for another day.
