Not just that payroll and salary also, a company would pay 20% less in texas than in cali. Median is texas is 20%. Their biggest challenge is talent.

Exactly. The cost isn't the state tax, it's the cost of keeping the employees in their home. My 1 bed/1bath is $3200/month. It's insane.
