The Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) of the National Assembly, in collaboration with the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), held an important briefing session today at the Parliament House, Islamabad. The session was chaired by the Honourable President of the Young Parliamentarians Forum, Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar. During the session, NAVTTC’s Executive Director, Mr. Muhammad Aamir Jan, delivered a comprehensive and detailed presentation highlighting the Commission’s mandate, policy initiatives, and efforts to promote vocational and technical education across the country. He informed the participants that NAVTTC is implementing various training projects, skills development courses, apprenticeship programs, the National Skills Registry, and public-private partnership initiatives aimed at aligning training with industry requirements. The briefing further elaborated that the Commission is utilising its allocated funds in a transparent manner through projects being carried out with both public and private institutions to impart basic vocational skills. The participants were informed about the number of individuals who have secured employment in Pakistan and abroad after receiving NAVTTC certification, and how these initiatives have strengthened the country’s workforce. Senior officials of NAVTTC accompanying the Executive Director also contributed to the briefing, including Dr. Muhammad Ishaq, Director General (P\&D); Ms. Farhat Hafeez, Director General (SS\&C); Mr. Shahzad Ahmad, Director (Certification); Mr. Muhammad Yasir, Director (Registration); Ms. Fatima Gilani, Director (Monitoring & Evaluation); Mr. Ahmad (Consultant); Mr. Malik Ramzan (Protocol Officer), and other relevant officers. Following the briefing, members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum and Honourable Members of the National Assembly actively participated in a question-and-answer session, discussing ways to further strengthen vocational training through legislative support and policy collaboration. The session was attended by Members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum and Members of the National Assembly, including Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, Mr. Ali Jan Mazari, Mr. M. Mobeen Arif, Mr. Ammar Ahmad Khan Leghari, Ms. Akhtar Bibi, Syed Shah Ahad Ali Shah, Mr. Usman Ali, Mr. Awais Haider Jakhar, Ms. Shaista Khan, Ms. Kiran Imran Dar, and Mr. Salahuddin Junejo.
