May dad works at shop that’s been (worked there in high school) open since 1975. We used pneumatic handheld drills to chase threads.

I worked at a honda manufacturing plant for a few years and they use taps on an impact to chase threads on everything.

We use a cordless with a tap to just clean all the threads on our engines block after the wash

if I have to even finish threads at the bottom of a whole I use a ratchet. chasing threads with impact is smart saves time wich saves money
