ALWAYS compare your itemized bill to your insurance EOB as well. Providers will jip you anyway they can. I work for insurance.

I work in insurance and your not wrong. More often than not hospitals bill ICD and CPT codes that are very generalized and if they correct it we pay

I work for BCBS and this is true !!! You can even tell the hospital that you didn’t have something done their billing you for and they get fined !!

Also always apply for financial aid if your hospital has an office for it! You might not qualify but sometimes you might get lucky!
