Just make sure whatever you’re shaving is flat and has no wrinkles - otherwise you may shave a hole in it. (I’ve done this...)

also, for fabric that pills like this, switch to hand washing if you can, no scrubbing. it'll cut down on the pilling/fuzz balls.
