We need to reflect things back to our children in a way they can understand, NOT project our own frustration onto them.

I feel angry a LOT, though I’m pretty good about staying calm. I frequently wonder how much of the anger is bc that’s what my parents modeled to me.🤔

One of my favorite compliments from my mentor teachers has to be when they were proud of how non reactive I am!

I’ve learned a lot about myself in the way I have reacted to a childs outburst. Yelling or getting angry just makes it worse. Then its my fault.

Great for 1 kid. But an entire class of 2-4 yr olds are out of control you need a way to get their attention at once. A bell doesn't always work.

How do I get my bosses to understand this and stop interfering in my class when I am calmly redirecting negative behaviors?

Exactly. My dad freaking out over everything we did made me so anxious growing up and now as an adult, I’m always scared to do ‘normal’ things

Do you have suggestions for people that address bigger kids 7+? I find tons of awesome info for toddlers & preschoolers. But nothing for the bigs.
