New LEGO Shuttle Carrier Aircraft! Set #10360 will be released May 15th 2025 (for LEGO Insiders members) and is built with 2417 pieces. Price: 229.99$ / 229.99€ / 999.99PLN What I like: - Really good looking models! Boeing 747 has good proportions and angles (even the angle of the wings has been reproduced and they are lifted slightly upwards, not attached horizontally!) - really interesting aircraft landing gear extension mechanism - the rear wheels are opened sideways and the front wheels are opened forwards, and all this with just one knob. I noticed that the wheels do not open perfectly at the same speed, but it is still possible to open all the wheels completely. - Very interesting techniques for building a Boeing! The entire core of the aircraft is built from back to front with SNOT. The sides are tiled and the 45 degree panels are attached with clips. This makes for a great building experience! - All the Discovery shuttle components that can't be used when it's attached to the top of the plane are placed in the cargo area. The good thing is that they're not packed loosely, but each component has its own place where it's attached. This prevents them from floating around inside when the model is moved. What I don’t like: - There are no mechanisms in the Enterprise shuttle. Its scale is much smaller than the 10283 Discovery set, but at least retracting the wheels into the landing gear could be done, seeing how interestingly it was solved in Boeing.
