Most of the new engines specifically warn you to not lap the valves. Only machine the seat, or replace the seat/valve depending on where the issue is

Yea yea yea i still rather lap in after that just to see were there siting. If u lap juat a little under light preasure u can see any mistakes!!!!!

I still lap my valves after machining with ultra fine lapping compound. But nothing wrong with trusting good machining.

I lapped disc's for pressure relief valves. lapping was essential to a great seal. Only machined discs didn't seal well.

The valve and seat have different angles so that the valve only contacts the seat in a circular “line” right?

At home on an old Triumph 650 some #1200 silicon grit from the telescope shop does a fair job

Nice work but to me the rpm on the seat and guide machine is way to high. That’s asking for chatter. Rottler makes that same valve grinder
