Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper leaving some hanging over the edge to lift the brownies out 2. Prepare brownies according to the box’s directions and spread in pan 3. Cook brownies for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean Pecan Pie Topping 1. In a small saucepan combine butter, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, heavy whipping cream, Karo syrup, and salt 2. Cook over medium heat until all ingredients combine. Stir occasionally 3. Once mixture comes to a boil, stir constantly for 3 minutes 4. Remove from heat and stir in pecans 5. Spoon mixture over cooked brownies and spread out evenly 6. Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees and cook brownies an additional 25 minutes 7. Let cool completely before removing from pan to cut and serve
