This is what self-doubt vs. self-love looks like. At 40, I feel fabulous 💫💅🏼 See. I’ve pushed my body to extremes and fought battles no one saw. As an overweight kid, I hid myself in XXL tees and baggy pants, ashamed of my reflection. As a teen, I starved myself, falling victim to TWO eating disorders that consumed my mind. In my 20s, I bulked up and stepped onto bodybuilding stages, seeking validation. By my 30s, I was stocky and dissatisfied, turning to calisthenics in pursuit of something different. At 37, I relapsed. Facing new insecurities and being triggered in what was a one side relationship; I got so skinny , lost hair, and mu ski was a mess. It’s true the wrong person will break you no matter how much work you’ve done to heal. That’s why I preach what I do: never settle , patiently wait for the person who loves every part of you: mind, body & soul. Now, at 40, I’ve found grace. Standing tall at 5’0 I love every inch of me—the soft, the strong, the scars, and the story they tell. Self-love isn’t perfect, but it’s kind. I push myself to grow, but I also honor my body and my mind and soul in ways I never did before. This isn’t just my journey—it’s my victory.
