That’s a sin, while people starve. In 96’ The Good Samaritan Law allows grocery stores to donate food without fear of being sued.

Here in the U.K. we have the real junk food project, a charity which takes food like this and then passes it on to people who need it. The US needs it

they sre not in the dumpster because a truck is coming to pick it up. the come super early before recieving opens. it is to feed rescue animals .

Fresh stock has to be ordered weeks ahead of time & when it arrives “old” stock has to be discarded. Not waste - just how inventory control works

I am proud to say at my subway we never ever throw food away unless it’s gone bad or it was dropped. The most I’ve seen was a box of bad lettuce
