the QWERTY was created on purpose to slow down the typist as to not jam keys. older keyboards can be found in alphabetical order but with many buttons

look up Dvorak layout if you want to try the optimal typing method. but then you'd have to just remember your own layout or carry a custom keyboard

The reason typewriters are QWERTY is letters of common words were not next to each other, allowing for FASTER typing due to the strikers not binding.

They designed the keyboard to fit the MOST used letters in the English, Spanish, European language. So yes it makes some sense.

First theres other keyboards second with typewriters keys which where pften used together had to be seperated as much as possible
