A NEGRO SHOT MLK’S MAMA… IN CHURCH. 💔⛪ Remembering Alberta Christine Williams King on Her 122nd Birthday 🕊️🌹 Everybody knows Martin Luther King Jr., but baby… do you know his mama’s story? Before America had a DREAMER, Alberta Christine Williams King raised him. She carried him, loved him, prayed over him, and watched her little Black boy grow into a man whose voice would shake this entire country. Then on April 4, 1968, somebody murdered her baby. Imagine being a mama watching the whole WORLD mourn your son while you still had to wake up every morning knowing your child wasn’t coming home. 💔 But Alberta kept living. She kept serving God. She kept going to church. Then six years later… violence came for the MAMA too. On June 30, 1974, Alberta was at the organ inside Ebenezer Baptist Church during Sunday service. The HOUSE OF GOD. A 23-year-old Black man walked into that church with guns, opened fire, and MLK’S MAMA WAS SHOT AND KILLED WHILE SITTING AT THE ORGAN. Lord have mercy. 💔 Her son preached nonviolence. Her son marched because he believed Black people deserved dignity and freedom. Her son dreamed of little Black children growing up in a better America. And after somebody took HIM from his mama… somebody walked into CHURCH and took his mama too. She was only 69 years old. Today, September 13, 2026, marks 122 years since Alberta Christine Williams King was born, and I couldn’t let today pass with everybody remembering the DREAM while forgetting THE WOMAN WHO RAISED THE DREAMER. So I gave Mrs. King an imaginary voice—not because these are words she actually spoke, but because storytelling has a way of making us stop, listen, learn somebody’s name, and remember a story history didn’t always put front and center. Because Black history ain’t only the stories everybody already knows. Sometimes you gotta turn the page and ask… “But what happened to his mama?” Happy Heavenly 122nd Birthday, Mrs. Alberta Christine Williams King. 🕊️🌹 You gave this world a dreamer, and YOUR STORY DESERVES TO BE HEARD TOO. 🎵 THEY SHOT THE DREAMER’S MAMA… IN CHURCH The Imaginary Voice of Alberta Christine Williams King Written & Created by Lakevia Shabreka #KiKiHarris from Ashburn, Georgia 🫶🏾 This historical tribute uses a generated imaginary voice. It is not an authentic recording of Alberta Christine Williams King. #AlbertaWilliamsKing #MLK #BlackHistory #BlackCulture
