What about fostering older kids? They’re hard to place and often get sent to institutions. You could then adopt if you and the child feels comfortable

my aunt was adopted by grandparents as a teenager and it was awesome for her! teen adopting/fostering is a good way to adopt w/ more consent 🥰

i feel ppl also really underestimate how difficult it is to raise an older adoptee. they're in the system for a reason and they'll have trauma
