💯 I live on a 35,000 acre wildlife area in Oregon with 3 young kids. I hear the same stuff. We see lots of animals...deer, elk, squirrels, etc.

Also bears hibernate in the winter time so the most common sightings of larger wildlife in winter is a moose. Pretty much harmless. Unless threatened.
