I just removed the foam. I left the inner plastic piece because it directs the air to the center of the turbo and prevents unwanted turbulence

You do not have to take all this off to do it if you literally take the top part off your air box you can get it out

There was a guy who tested this, it’s recommended to leave the plastic cage but remove the foam.
