Unfortunately I lost a foal to colic. Walked her for 3 hrs and tubed her. We did everything but couldn’t afford the surgery 😞

We’ve had two majors in the last 6 months at our training barn- definitely not pretty. One flipped colon, one majorly twisted. Hate colic so much 😭

interesting fact, rabbits are closer related to horses than they are to rodents. they are lagomorphs and also cannot vomit just like horses.

if they have any signs of colic and they are down, try and get the horse and start walking them and call the vet for further advice or assistance

They also do this to help get vertebrae‘s back in line or crack some bones to feel better like us humans do 🤷♀️
