really depends on where the tree falls, if it blocks traffic or access or falls on properly then the right decision would be to remove it.?

Decomposing wood is incredibly important for biodiversity as well. Beetles and bugs will be eating and laying eggs in it, and nutrients added to soil

Our local authority decided the same..to leave a tree alone.. people climbing on it etc.... the guy who's house it fell on wasn't too pleased.😳
