my sons ear drums didn't move, so he couldn't hear unless you were screaming in his ears... tubes allowed to hear better and it is very scary for them

They do it slowly so it doesn’t scare the crap out of him. And it’s usually robotic. While brain retrains itself. It is a proces for sure.
