for those asking, it does not do great on carpet. I can pick up the stuffed animal guts my dogs leave, but it won't clean the carpet

It works on carpet. Both of our dysons quit and we were broke so we brought our shop vac up until we had money and I could decide what I wanted.

ON CARPET: it sucks really really well. But unless you find an attachment that has the rollers it is exhausting to use. You cannot go back and forth.
