July Reading Wrap Up 📚✨🫶🏻 JULY READS: ✿ Powerful by Lauren Roberts ✿ Reckless by Lauren Roberts ✿ The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd-Jones ✿ Not in Love by Ali Hazelwood ✿ Verity by Colleen Hoover ✿ The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer ✿ None of This is True by Lisa Jewell ✿ Live and Let Lionel by Caroline Peckham + Susanne Valenti ✿ Restless Stars by Caroline Peckham + Susanne Valenti ✿ The Dark One by Nikki St. Crowe ✿ The Never King by Nikki St. Crowe FAVORITE READ IN JUNE: ✿ My favorite read in July was definitely Reckless by Lauren Roberts. After reading Powerless by Lauren Roberts for the first time last month (I can’t believe it took me this long to pick these books up), I was excited to jump in to her second book in the trilogy when it released on July 2nd. The ending of Reckless absolutely WRECKED me! In my opinion, this could not have been a more perfect sequel to this trilogy. I’m excited to see where Paedyn and Kai’s story goes next— Fearless will definitely be a release day read for me come April 2025! LEAST FAVORITE READ IN JUNE: ✿ My least favorite read in July was definitely The Drowned Woods by Emily Lloyd-Jones. This book was just okay to me. I didn’t love the way the book was written or the perspective in which it was written, which is totally a personal preference. Outside of that, I felt like the story was a bit all over the place for me. Overall, The Drowned Woods was not a bad read, but definitely wasn’t a favorite for me. I feel the overall story fell flat and was lacking more captivating elements. JUNE HIGHLIGHTS: ✿ I was so excited to finally read the last of the books in the Zodiac Academy series— book nine, Restless Stars! Anyone who knows me knows my immense love for Zodiac Academy— this series, while not a literary masterpiece, is such a comfort series for me. I have absolutely loved the evolution of each and every character and was thrilled to see them get their happy ending. What did you read in July?
