I heard that you should salt your pasta water because if you don't you will summon an angry Italian grandma who will hit you with a wet noodle. 😳

I add salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Its so cheap and it really makes a difference in the taste, y'all gotta try it.

The main thing I took from this video is that in an American accent 'pasta' and 'faster' don't rhyme. In a Kiwi accent they totally do 😅

I have taken the Italian route with every pot of pasta water i have, and salted it till it tastes like the ocean. I have a 1kg thing of salt for it.

please explain the opposite now. why does salt make ice feel colder? like when people made ice cream the old way, they would put salt on the ice.

speaking as an Italian person, we arent trying to make it boil faster. you have to season the pasta water.

Hank, the salt is so the starch doesn't make all your pasta stuck together! there is a use besides flavor I promise😂

Purely annecdotal, but if I add salt while my water is coming up to boil, it takes FOREVER to boil, so I always add it once it's reached a boil
