I use a duvet & cover at home, but hotels prob do whatever is easiest to clean. As for the flags... we have a bit of a nationalism problem 😬

A large is way too big for most people. Duvet covers suck in my opinion, and the star spangled banner is our symbol of freedom.

I personally use a comforter, which I guess is a duvet, but I don't put another blanket over it, just one sheet under!

I think hotels use sheets as it's easier and faster for housekeepers. Also it's likely less expensive than duvet covers.

Size differs depending on the restaurant but our drinks have a ton of ice so big sizes even out. Most homes have duvet covers, not sure why
