That's why I left. It wasn't really the pay, I could live with getting paid less but it was being underappreciated and in an unsafe environment.

I agree. Maybe one solution to the problem is to get rid of pointless administration positions so there is more $$ for the teachers who deserve it!

Been teaching 10+years... new teachers are making same$ as me due to pay freezes (5 years) and new incentive to keep new teachers.

No mention we don’t get paid for summertime. Many districts spread pay out but it’s not a free vacation.

YES. I switched from teaching elementry to teaching early learning so I get more free time. Early learning teachers get paid less

Teachers also spend their own money on things put up in their room. I volunteered at school and they were being charged to make copies. Ridiculous!
