It’s easy to think it was just feuding cousins but I doubt those leaders wanted war, but circumstances within their country instigated it

Also without WW1 there would have never been a revolution in Russia and as a result no Soviet Union. Eastern Europe would be similar to Western Europe

I think people forget that all the major powers in Europe in WW1 were all related. There’s even pictures fo the Tsar and Kaiser months before the war

No exactly. The King was first cousin on his mother’s side with Tsar and his father’s side with Kaiser. Tsar and Kaiser had no common grandparent.
