I’m down in Australia and a lot of the the shops I know use an acid bath, with a water and acid mix in a heated tank works extremely well.

I sent my cylinder head to a machine shop once that bead blasts. They didn’t clean everything out and trashed a set of injectors.

If I’d still baked engines , I’d get a blaster using walnut shells of baking soda. Wages off easier
